Shatta Wale Finally Opens UP About His BET Awards SNUB

Taking Over hitmaker in a latest radio interview has opened up about his recent BET Awards snub.
The 2017 BET Awards features acts including Wizkid, Mr Eazi, Davido and Ghana’s Stonebwoy.
Talking about the focus of his team and how felt about this snub Shatta claimed his focus was how his business will grow.
“One thing I want people to know is that we are not really bothered about awards. We are focusing on how the business will grow. I believe awards come naturally, I have been in my bedroom and people call me to tell me that I have won awards in Germany.

“But we are in a system where people know about the issues I have with the people that are organizing the main awards in Ghana. I don’t want to be hypocritical here. I feel that’s the bad side of the industry we have.
When I was growing up, the things I was thinking about was how to get money, put my family in a safe place, drive some fancy cars, get some money, go into business and own stuff and that’s what I am doing now!
“When awards come and I’m not included, I’m not bothered. There are people who are always focused on prestige and prestige is good, I love prestige too but I believe I need to be making money before that time.
“Awards is not our main focus with this music, we are here to make money and reach out to people. That’s why I was able to give out a GHC 130,000 car to a fan. We know at the right time, its going to come direct to us.”
