Nominees for the 2019 BET Awards was released this morning and Nigeria’s Mr. Eazi, Burna Boy, Teni earned spots in two different categories.
While Burna Boy and Mr. Eazi secured a nomination in the Best International Act category, Teni was nominated in the Best New International Act category.
Burna Boy and Mr. Eazi are in competition with AKA (South Africa), Aya Nakamura (France), Dave (U.K.), Dosseh (France) and Giggs (U.K.)
Case hitmaker, Teni faces Headie One (U.K.), Jok’Air (France), Nesly (France), Octavian (U.K.) and Sho Madjozi (South Africa) in her category.

No Ghanaian act made the cut for this year’s list and Shatta Wale has reacted to the situation.
The multiple award winning Dancehall act in a tweet to his million followers teased:
