Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, EL nominated for Hausa Music Awards

Fast rising Dancehall artiste, Rudebwoy Ranking has topped the nominees list of the maiden edition of the Hausa Music Awards with 7 nominations.
Other artiste nominated are Bastero, Gariba, D Sherif, Capasta, Tijani Pepe, Stargyal Denora, Shatta wale, Stonebwoy, Samini among others
In a press release to announce the nominees for the Hausa Music Awards, Xcess Entertainment limited, organizers of the event, disclosed that all is set for the event to take off. The statement explained that the delay of the Hausa Music Festival and Awards was caused by reforms in the telecommunications sector with regards to using mobile networks as voting platforms for such events.
The nominees party for all nominees and their fans has been slated for 26th August at the plush sky bar, asylum down.
The statement which was signed by Paul Doe, Head of Operations at Xcess Entertainment also emphasized that the African categories of the awards has given the awards a continental appeal and a press briefing is expected to take place in Lagos Nigeria to announce the nominees which includes Nigerians acts Ice Prince Zamani, Classiq and Morell.
The awards will be climaxed with a nominees concert in Nima, artiste development seminar and a documentary on Hausa music in Africa.
Voting for the awards is expected to commence on Monday 8th August when short codes and other voting details are announced on partner media platforms.
The Hausa Music Festival was launched in 2015 and was covered by the BBC Hausa Service.
