Ghanaian entrepreneur and music selector, Nana Kwame Appiasei, professionally known as Smallgod has revealed that about 36 artistes are featured on his latest album project, ‘Bridging The Gap’.
Bridging The Gap as the name implies is an album that seeks to connect Africa to the world through music by voices with global hits inside and outside Africa.
In an interview on Y107.9FM’s Myd Morning Radio Show, with host Rev Erskine, Smallgod mentioned that his sense of diversity extended to his choice of producers for the songs. “My thing is not solely based on the artistes; it’s also on the producers and all other studio personnel to be part of everything; a mix of Ghana, Nigeria in fact Africans, which includes those who live in the diaspora.”
Smallgod acknowledging the level of dedication and hard work put into making the album said, “Each song had its challenges and creative processes that we all observed to finally get them here.”
Bridging The Gap was released on Friday, March 1, 2024, emerging as one of the most iconic albums to be released in 2024. Smallgod features a number of Ghana’s notable singers like King Promise on Oh My Days, Black Sherif on Fallen Angel, Kweku Flick on Kusuu(Remix) and Away, Kelvyn Boy on My Business and Joey B on Treasure Island.
