Social media is gushing with comments of disappointment regarding Kwesi Arthur’s performance at American-Nigerian superstar, Davido’s AWay Festival.
The AWay Festival took place in Atlanta Georgia, USA on Saturday, Novmeber 18, 2023 at the State Farm Arena, featuring a star studded line up of amazing acts from Africa and the diaspora.
Part of these amazing talents, was Ghana’s Kwesi Arthur who has received jabs of criticisms from social media users for failing to meet the expectation of music enthusiasts and fans in Ghana.
The rapper was identified by yfmghana.com in a video, performing his songs but was not given good feedback from the audience.
However, the ‘Grind Day’ hitmaker in a tweet slammed all critics by disclosing that he would still have continued his performance if he ended up with only two patrons in the auditorium. He said, “I see y’all comments. Even if there were 2 people in the arena, I would have still performed,” and asked critics to “shove their opinion, up their asses.”
Davido’s Away Festival with Away coined from the campaign, Are We Africans Yet – A.W.A.Y. The festival marks the celebration of African unity and aims to foster cultural exchange and collaboration between Africa and the rest of the World.
