Caster Semenya married her long-time partner Violet Raseboya.
South African Olympic gold medallist runner Caster Semenya – who found herself at the centre of a row over her gender – has posted pics of her white wedding to long-time girlfriend Violet Raseboya.
The weekend celebration in Pretoria, South Africa, follows a colourful traditional wedding in December.
Sunday World reported Raseboya looked stunning in a white sheer floral appliqué gown, while Semenya wore an embroidered blue velvet kurta-style menswear ensemble.
In pictures posted on her Instagram account, Semenya referred to Raseboya as “my heart” and spoke of “love that is unbreakable”, describing the event as “our perfect day”.
The couple met as teenagers.

Semenya won the gold medal in the 800-metre race at the Rio Olympics last year, after winning silver in London in 2012.
She previously found herself facing questions over her gender, after winning the 800m and 1500m races at the World Athletic Championships in 2009.
Semenya was forced to withdraw from competition for 11 months and undergo gender tests before the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) cleared her return.
The testing confirmed Semenya has hyperandrogenism, which gives her testosterone levels three times those usually found in women and approaching those of a man.
IAAF rules previously required her to take medicine to suppress her testosterone levels, amid claims she had an unfair advantage over other female athletes.
However, those rules were suspended in 2015 after a challenge from another athlete.
