The highly anticipated Blade reboot, which will be written by Stacy Osei-Kuffour, has finally received a release date from Marvel Studios.
Bassam Tariq will helm the film, which will star Mahershala Ali and have its Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut on November 3, 2023.
Emmy-winning writer, Stacy Amma Osei-Kuffour will pen the script for the movie.
Stacy Osei-Kuffour, who was born in Chicago to a Ghanaian father and an American mother, will make history as the first black woman to pen the screenplay for a Marvel film.
Her inclusion in the future MCU film was first revealed in February 2021, but Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, eventually confirmed the film’s November 2023 release date in Hall H at the San Diego Comic-Con.
Stacy is well known for her work on the HBO drama Watchmen and the Hulu comedy series PEN15, for which she won an Emmy in 2020 for Best Written New Series.
Several significant announcements from Marvel were made at the SDCC, one of which being the Blade movie’s official release date.
