The Windy City is about to experience a musical revolution as Stronger Together presents “Afro Smash.” Slated for Saturday, August 17 at The Wild Hare, “Afro Smash,” is set to be the first independent Afrobeats concert in the area.
Organized by Stronger Together, a collective of nine Afrobeats artists, the event promises a night of vibrant performances and community building.
Headlining the concerts are Ghanaian sensations Queen Drie, Fu Krazy, and Rie Osei, along with Nigeria’s very own Jessenation, Dr Soul, Jova B, Azizz, Koray, Kronika, Deaj and other exciting talents.
The lineup reflects the diverse and growing Afrobeats scene in Chicago, which Stronger Together aims to amplify through this event.

According to Michael Amponsah (Big Mike), spokesperson for Stronger Together, the goal of “Afro Smash” is not just to put on a great show but to lay the foundation for what they hope will become a two-day festival.
“We want to help each other grow, connect our fanbases, and become successful artists. That’s the vision,” Mike Amponsah shared with RevolveMuzic.
With ticket sales already over halfway now, 70% sold out, the anticipation for “Afro Smash” is high. The event will pack out the venue, showcasing the enormous talent within Chicago’s Afrobeats community and proving that the city is ready to embrace this dynamic genre on a bigger stage
