Renowned Ghanaian actress and media personality, Sylvia Efua Davis, is poised to grace the stage as the co-host of the highly anticipated 6th Edition of the Ghana Merit Awards (GMA). The event slated for August 2, 2025, under the theme “Africa United: Recognizing Merit and Excellence,” will take place at the Gnat Hall in Adabraka, Accra.
The event will kick off with a red-carpet session at 7:00 PM, followed by the main show at 9:00 PM. Ms Davis, professionally known as Sylvia Davis, will bring the charm to the night with her dynamic presence and engaging on-screen energy.
Sylvia Davis’ selection as host adds star power to the awards. She’s an admirable figure in the country’s creative space, known for standout performances in “Scarlet in the Mirror” and “Bed of Thorns”. She also appears on the popular YouTube series “World Mr. Nice TV” and has previously emceed events like the Women of Substance Brunch.

Tickets for the Ghana Merit Awards are going for 100 cedis (standard) and 200 cedis (VIP). Attendees are required to wear formal attire — tuxedos, suits, or African prints for men, and official wear for women.
