Ghanaian rapper, Vincent Kwaku Osei identified in music circles as Strongman has disclosed his loss of interest in winning a Telecel Ghana Music Award (TGMA) after years of disappointment.
Formerly known as VGMA, the annual Ghanaian premium award scheme has nominated Strongman for best rapper six times in a row, with none able to win him an award over the years.
In a viral video spotted by yfmghana.com, the lyricist indicated in a radio interview that he has directed his attention to other things besides the award scheme despite another nomination in this year’s TGMA Best Rapper category. “About four to five years now I have not said a word about my nominations or even made an announcement about my TGMA nominations because I realized putting my energy into something that will yield no results will just make me unhappy.”
He hinted that his attention has veered to more fulfilling things in his career. “I am doing other things that will benefit me and make me happy.” He said
