In his welcome address, he expressed pride about the achievement and was delighted at the smiles the Marina Water Park will bring to the faces of families and countless individuals within the country.
“I am proud of how far we’ve come as a community. This park was designed with the idea for families, professionals and people of all walks of life to come and enjoy a moment of fun and relaxation. We envision that the Marina Water Park can wash away the worry of patrons with its breeze,” he stated.
The Marina Water Park blends in seamlessly with the environment as it is designed in an ecofriendly manner. The park does not only offer fun to patrons but provides them with high levels of security.
Executive Director of the Lakeside Estate, Captain Salah Kweku Kalmoni shared the motivation and success behind the Marina Water Park, taking time to acknowledge the team that made the dream a reality.
He disclosed the Marina Water Park is part of the grand vision of the turning 22 acres of prime land into the Lakeside Marina Theme Park; a truly Pan-African touristic destination. The motto of the park, Slide, Splash, Swim, indicated the Lakeside Estate’s dedication to providing festive family fun.
“The water park is designed for fun and adventure with family values and safety in mind. We have the best international waterpark design. We have partnered with Polin Waterpark from Istanbul, Turkey, one of the top manufacturers in the world. We received maximum support from the Engineer Erhan Ertan, who came to Ghana not only to help us in the installation, but to certify our equipment,” he emphasized and the world class standard and safety of the park.
The Municipal Chief Executive for the Adenta Municipality, Ebenezer Doku, expressed his elation to be at the unveiling of the biggest water park in Ghana, in his municipality. He described the municipality as a model one, with the Marina Water Park being a significant milestone to the community, making it the place to go for recreation.
“The park is a way of preserving water bodies within the municipality, and this preservation is cherished much. Adenta Municipality used to have over 32 lakes but now we have just 12. The Marina Water Park is a welcome addition to preservation and safeguarding of ecological resources within the municipality,” he added.
Mr. Doku indicated that the introduction of the Marina Water Park shows Lakeside Estate’s dedication to providing exceptional experience to the lakeside community and all within the municipality, while providing ecological stewardship.
The MCE called on investors to focus on investing in the constituently. “The Marina Water Park will not only be a popular destination, but it will provide jobs, community development and tourism promotion. The Marina Water Park will be a source of pride for Adenta,” he added.
Delivering a speech on Behalf of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) was the Director of Hospitality, Ama Akoto.
Ama Akoto indicated that the Marina Water Park is a reminder of the essence of recreation and leisure, with the park offering the much-needed escape from everyday lives. “The Marina Water Park is not just a place to cool off, but provides the fun, adventure, and joy that comes with creating memories with our loved ones.”
She applauded management and staff of the Marina Water Park for their vision, hard work and love in making the park a reality, and also providing a safe and inclusive environment for all persons.
