The Premier League's Dirtiest Teams Revealed In New Study

Chelsea are the dirtiest team in Premier League history according to a new study.
Spreadex have used data to determine who has the worst discipline of all the sides to have competed in the top flight, with teams getting 10 points for every yellow card they’ve received and 25 points for every time one of their players has been shown a red card.
And over the 27 years the Premier League has been active, it’s Chelsea who come out on top.
The Blues, who had both Dennis Wise (64 yellows and 4 red cards at Chelsea) and John Terry (69 yellows and 6 reds at Chelsea) playing for them, have racked up 18,360 points in total, 115 more than second-placed Everton.

Arsenal and Tottenham complete the top four based on total points, with Manchester United in fifth on 16,570. Liverpool are down in ninth after boasting a pretty good discipline record considering they have been involved in every Premier League season.
The European Champions have had the lowest Bookings Points for the last three seasons and have averaged just 8.8 per game in eight games so far this term.

Manchester City find themselves in tenth place but are only 110 less points behind their title rivals despite playing 190 less top-flight games.
There is, however, a second table that shows Derby County are the dirtiest team on average. The Rams, who famously accrued just 11 points in the 2007/08 season, have an average of 21.82 booking points per game having played 266 Premier League.
Sunderland are in second with an average of 20.5 booking points in 608 games, with Hull City, Watford and Barnsley following closely behind.
Stoke City complete the top six, though we’re not sure how much were racked up during their early years in the Premier League under Tony Pulis.
