Ghanaian Afrobeats giant, Gregory Bortey Newman identified in showbiz as King Promise has revealed that he does not undergo any specific process when making his music.
The 5-Star mantra pioneer, in an interview on Y107.9FM’s Myd Morning Radio Show with host Rev Erskine, talked about how much passion and dedication he invests into his craft.
He revealed that in making his music, he takes a laid back approach devoid of any precise steps to bring out good songs. “For me I don’t think there is a recipe; if I said I had a recipe for making a hit song I’d be lying.” he said.
He explained further that his love for his craft as a musician is evidently seen in the masterpieces that top the charts of music streaming platforms and also become global hits. “I just make music that I love honestly. That’s my whole secret; I love making music; I don’t take myself too serious because I feel like the magic is in the raw and organic nature in which you place your thoughts on the record.”
King Promise globally recognized for back to back hits like Terminator, Perfect Combi, Paris and Continental among others is proudly making his quota on setting the spotlight on Ghanaian music.
