Ghanaian songwriter and rapper, Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur, popularly known as Kwesi Arthur has labeled his mixtape, ‘This Is Not The Tape’ as a prelude for bigger projects.

According to the Grind Day hitmaker, the EP series was inspired by American rapper, Lil Wayne’s ‘Sorry For The Wait’ mixtape.

In an interview on Y107.9FM’s Dryve of Your Lyfe with Kojo Manuel, Kwesi Arthur acknowledged that he has been absent from the music scene for quite some time, which in hand left many of his fans on edge.

However, the rapper explained that ‘This Is Not The Tape’ was tailored for fans who were in dire need of his music. “I used to release songs back to back but i realized I had starved my people for a while. So we compile a good list of songs placed it on for them to listen for the meantime until the big projects.” he explained.
