In a bold demonstration of its growing role as a global connector in agribusiness and agritourism, Voazok successfully hosted a high-level delegation from AgriInstitute Indiana for an immersive six-day Agricultural Study & Leadership Tour across Ghana.
Held from 16 to 21 February 2026, the immersive programme connected American agricultural leaders directly with Ghana’s policymakers, researchers, agribusiness operators, and farming communities reinforcing Ghana’s growing position as a strategic agricultural hub in West Africa.

Designed as more than a study visit, the tour served as a platform for partnership-building, investment exploration, and leadership exchange. Through curated engagements across the Greater Accra, Central, and Eastern Regions, delegates experienced Ghana’s agricultural value chains from policy formulation to farm-level implementation.

The delegation commenced engagements in Accra with strategic discussions at the American Chamber of Commerce, Ghana, where conversations focused on agribusiness investment opportunities and strengthening U.S.–Ghana trade collaboration.

At the University of Ghana School of Agriculture, participants examined research-driven innovations improving productivity and sustainability. A guided tour of the MTN Vegetable Hub of Excellence highlighted science-backed cultivation systems contributing to food systems transformation.

Further institutional engagement at the CSIR–Food Research Institute centered on food safety standards, agro-processing innovation, and research commercialization, the key drivers of export competitiveness and value addition.

The tour extended beyond academia into Ghana’s private agribusiness landscape. In the Central Region, delegates visited Ameen Sangari Factory, producers of Sweet Mother Rice, where they observed the rice value chain from milling to packaging—gaining firsthand insight into quality assurance systems and structured commercial operations.

Participants also toured Ekumfi Juice, one of Ghana’s leading juice processors, examining sourcing systems, sustainability practices, and agro-processing workflows that are creating jobs and reducing post-harvest losses.

Policy-level engagement continued at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, where discussions highlighted the Feed Ghana Initiative and the rollout of Farmer Service Centres nationwide. At the Ghana Agricultural Insurance Pool, delegates explored how innovative insurance mechanisms are de-risking agriculture and strengthening climate resilience for farmers.

Beyond agribusiness, the tour incorporated cultural and historical reflection. A visit to the iconic Cape Coast Castle provided a solemn reminder of Ghana’s global historical connections, while a stop at the Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm in the Eastern Region highlighted Ghana’s foundational role in the global cocoa industry.

Speaking on the initiative, the Chief Executive Officer of Voazok, Mr. Derrick Owusu-Kodua, emphasized the company’s commitment to connecting Ghana’s agricultural ecosystem to the world with special focus on Canada and the U.S.A. He noted, “This tour represents a strategic bridge between continents. Voazok is intentionally positioning Ghana as a destination for global agricultural collaboration—where innovation, investment, and leadership converge.”

The Agricultural Study & Leadership Tour reaffirmed Ghana’s unique blend of traditional farming systems and emerging innovations, including mechanization services, value-added processing, institutional research integration, and climate-smart agriculture.

Through strategic coordination and high-level stakeholder access, Voazok continues to elevate Ghana’s profile on the global agricultural stage, unlocking partnerships, facilitating knowledge exchange, and driving cross-border agribusiness collaboration.
