Vodafone Ghana has embarked on a month-long campaign to raise awareness, reward and empower agents of its leading mobile money service platform – Vodafone Cash – which was launched in Ghana ten months ago.
The telecommunications giant, as part of the activities, held meetings with over 5000 Vodafone cash agents in 40 different locations nationwide to reward top performing agents. Additionally, each agent received a counterfeit money detector to help secure their mobile money transactions against fraudulent activities.
Vodafone employees also took to the streets to educate customers on the uses and advantages of Vodafone Cash and top transacting Vodafone Cash customers rewarded with phones, airtime and Vodafone souvenirs.
Commenting on the activities, Head of Vodafone Cash, Martison Obeng-Agyei said:
“Less than a year since its introduction in Ghana, Vodafone Cash continues to make great strides across the country. This is truly exciting for us as a business. Our aim for this month-long campaign is to extend the level of awareness and to also empower and reward our agents. Ultimately we are charting a course that will bridge the wide gap that currently exists between the banked and un-banked in Ghana.”
Last year the Vodafone Cash presented television sets, laptops, fridges, and other home appliances to deserving agents and loyal customers.
