Vodafone Ghana has announced the roll out of a nation-wide coding programme for Ghanaian youth between the ages of 14 and 18 in line with its vision of igniting Ghana’s digital revolution.
The telecommunication giant says Ghanaian youth can give themselves a chance by visiting http://bit.ly/codingprogram to be shortlisted.
Commenting on the initiative, Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Ghana, Yolanda Cuba said:
‘’The national coding programme is part of a concerted approach to touching lives through the power of technology and innovation. We hope to reach over 500 people across all the ten regions of Ghana by the end of the financial year.”
“Vodafone Ghana is poised to lead the journey into total digital inclusion in Ghana. It is for this reason that we are engaging coding-proficient staff members of our company to handle this project,’ she added.
Vodafone Ghana Foundation continues to deliver pioneering digital initiatives in line with a strategic vision of digitally leaving no-one behind.
The first coding session will be held in Accra from 20th – 24th August.
