A thrilled crowd was drawn to the serene virgin forest of Aburi to witness the official opening of the We-Ape Mega Zipline Adventure Park.
The grand opening offered patrons the opportunity to embark on the adventure of a lifetime, experiencing a range of thrilling activities—from ziplining and tree climbing to canopy walks. The park promises fun for all ages, for children and adults alike.
Speaking at the launch, Chief Director of Global Media Alliance, Emma Wenani, speaking as the guest of honor, highlighted the uniqueness of the 3.5-acre rainforest site. “It’s a beautiful place. There’s a lot of obstacles. If you love adventure, there is ziplining here for all ages. It is indeed a full package for the family,” she said.
The park features two exciting obstacle courses: a Family Course suitable for both kids and adults, and a Fitness Course designed as a fun aerial workout for those seeking a physical challenge.
Each course offers a variety of engaging activities such as canopy walks, cable bikes, diverse net obstacles, and thrilling ziplines—all set against the breathtaking natural scenery of the rainforest.
Adding an educational touch, the park has also introduced an environmental learning program for schools. This initiative uses the natural setting to help students develop a deeper connection with and respect for the environment.

To mark the official opening, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on May 6th, attended by local officials and tourism stakeholders from Aburi.
“We-Ape has been a passion project years in the making. We are thrilled to introduce something new, something truly world-class, and something very different from anything else available in Ghana,” said William Adzraku, Executive Director of the park.
Mr. Jimmy from Thailand, the visionary behind the adventure park, acknowledged Mr. Adzraku and expressed his excitement about being part of creating such a fun and explorative destination. He proudly noted that the We-Ape Mega Zipline Adventure Park is home to the only Triple Zipline in Africa.
The park promises to bring more excitement and adventure to Ghana, positioning the country as a rising hub for fun and recreation on the continent.
