An Accra Circuit Court has ordered Hiplife Artiste, Eugene Ashie, a.k.a. Wisa Greid to make a security deposit of GHC 5000 to ensure that he appears in court regularly.
According to Graphic Online’s court reporter, Emmanuel Ebo Hawkson, the court, presided by Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin Doku, on Wednesday directed that the Ghc5000 will be be put in the state coffers if he fails to appear
The ‘Ekiki Me’ hit maker appeared in court on Wednesday after more than two months of being absent.
His lawyer, Jerry Avenogbor, pleaded with the court to rescind the bench warrant placed on his head.
The prosecutor, Judith Asante, however, prayed the court to remand him in custody for failing to appear before the court and disrespecting the authority of the court.
The case was adjourned to August 12, 2016.
