Ghanaian socialite and travel enthusiast, Wode Maya has urged the government of Ghana to support sanitation policing collective, Buzstop Boys
The globally recognized YouTuber speaking to yfmghana.com’s Kobina Baidoo explained that the group’s commitment to ridding Ghana’s streets of waste through clean up exercises and periodic sensitization needs an amplification which can be made possible through government’s investment. “Buzstop Boys are showing that Ghanaians are ready to work, it’s just that we need to have a good system to support the people.” he said.
He further noted that the the collective’s voluntary commitment with a substantial amount of funds from government will make their work quicker, less tedious and more efficient. “It’s about time they empowered the Buzstop Boys because what they are doing is more like charity but I believe if the government of the day feels like if we empower them, they are going to do bigger things, why don’t you do it?” he stated.
