Y107.9 FM honors mothers with the ‘Yo Mama’ promo

Ghana’s number one urban radio station Y107.9 through its flagship radio show ‘Ryse N Syne’ has celebrated mothers with its ‘Yo Mama’ activation.
‘Yo Mama’ gave interested participants a platform to appreciate their mama’s ‘groove’ and win amazing prizes. Participants of the ‘Yo Mama’ activation, shared video recordings of their mamas dancing to any jam of choice on any social media platform while tagging Y107.9 on Twitter and Instagram @y1079fm and on Facebook.com/Y1079fm.
Among the hundreds of exciting entries received by the Ryse N Shyne crew, three of the moms were shortlisted and called for an on-air interaction with Brown Berry, host of ‘Ryse N Shyne’.
The mothers, Patience Siaw, Cynthia Siameh and Margaret Okrah received a television, a microwave and a consolation prize respectively. In addition, all three mothers had fabrics and products from ATL Textiles Company Limited and Fortune Rice respectively.

Programmes Manager of YFM, Eddy Blay, speaking on what informed the station’s decision in selecting these three shared: “To be honest, all the videos we saw were very exciting ones. But the decision to choose these three was based on that great energy they exuded in their videos. We are very pleased to have celebrated these mothers and we hope to continue this fun-filled activity in every month of May; when mothers are celebrated the most because of Mother’s Day”.
Mothers’ Day is an occasion celebrated in various parts of the world to express respect, honour, and love towards mothers. On this day, the world acknowledges the importance and significance of mothers and motherly figures.
