Ghana’s leading urban youth radio station, Y107.9FM-Accra, has been nominated for Radio Station of the Year at the 15th edition of the Goldbond Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Awards.
This recognition highlights YFM’s continued influence and contribution to Ghana’s media landscape, particularly in shaping urban youth culture through creative programming and authentic engagement.
Renowned for its dynamic blend of Afrobeats, R&B, and hip-hop, YFM Accra also delivers captivating talk shows and entertainment segments that connect deeply with today’s young audience. Its flagship weekday programs include The Ryse n Shyne, Myd Morning Radio Show, Shouts On Y, The DrYve of Your Lyfe, and Y Lounge. Weekends bring listeners exciting shows such as Afropolitan Mix, Y Campus Express, and Party Pressure.
Beyond the airwaves, YFM actively engages its community through vibrant initiatives, including its involvement in the University of Ghana’s Sarbah Hall Week Celebration in July 2025, Ghana’s only free concert, Area Codes Jam. The station operates under the “Y-Triangle” model, with synchronized programming across Accra, Kumasi, and Takoradi, ensuring consistent content delivery to its nationwide audience.
