Ghana’s finest DJ and YFM’s lethal party spinner, DJ Loft has received two distinctive nominations at the 2022 Ghana DJ Awards.
Currently the resident DJ for Y107.9 FM’s “Ryse N Shyne” radio programme, DJ Loft has been nominated for the ultimate “Male Radio DJ of the Year” and the “Afrobeats/Hiplife DJ of the Year” categories.
Affectionately called the “Dangerous DJ”, DJ Loft‘s nominations follow an impressive year dedicated to thrilling party patrons, hitting the music space with jams and buzz. He has expressed his art at several events and carved a niche for himself with mixes including ‘The Dangerous Mix’, ‘Loft is Not Your Mate’, and ‘The Amplified Mix’.
His mix tapes have gained international recognition, being featured on several shows.
DJ Loft has played in several events and across various countries. He currently billed for both South Africa and Ghana editions of Afrochella.
“Nominations like these are blessings and they go a long way to helping us do what we do best. I’m grateful to the organizers and I hope I can sweep home both awards,” DJ Loft shared.

Born Solomon Obeng, DJ Loft is a radio, club, and events disc jockey. Loft joined Y107.9 FM in 2015 as the DJ of the Saturday Morning Live with Gideon Kodo. From there, he moved to the Weekend Rush with Brown Berry. Currently, he is the resident DJ for “Ryse and Shyne”.
