Touted as the best ‘Hypeman’ in Ghana, Kojo Manuel of Ghana’s no.1 urban radio station, YFM gets two nomination at the Ghana Entertainment Awards USA
Kojo Manuel has been nominated in the “Best Radio Personality” and “Best Hypeman/MC” categories.
The 2022 edition of the biggest Ghanaian entertainment gathering in the Diaspora is scheduled to come off on Friday, July 8, 2022, at the Tribeca Performing Arts Centre in New York.
In the “Best Radio Personality” category, Kojo Manuel comes up against Citi FM’s Bernard Avle, Andy Dosty of Multimedia Group, Adom FM’s Ohemaa Woyegy3, Multimedia’s Lexis Bill, Giovanni Caleb of Media General, Doreen Avio of Multimedia Group, Dr Pounds, Nana Romeo, DJ Slim.
While on the “Best Hypeman/MC” category, he faces Jerry Adjorlolo, George Bannerman, MC Jerome, Ogee The MC, Doreen Avio, Jay Foley, Jay Tyme and MC Kabutey.
“The King of the M.I.C” is however poised to sweep home both awards.

Speaking on Kojo Manuel’s achievement, Programmes Manager of Y107.9 FM, Eddy Blay said, “Kojo Manuel deserved to be nominated for both award categories because through-out the time periods, he has worked his socks off. Best to bring the excitement to the room and lit the whole place up. For me and everyone at YFM, we’re rooting for King Manuel.”
Nyantakyi Kusi Emmanuel popularly known as Kojo Manuel is the host of the most exciting and fun-packed radio program “Drye of Your Lyfe” on Y107.9 FM. He does not only come across as a radio presenter but doubles as an Event Host, MC, Hypeman and artiste.
As an MC, he has hosted several events such as the AFRIMA Music Village Concert, Ghana Meets Naija, Boiler Room Accra and Afrochella.
He is currently the resident MC for Carbon Night Club and has received several awards under his belt.
Kojo Manuel was crowned the Best MC at the Ghana DJ Awards 2019. He also won the award for the Best Youth MC & Media Personality at the FAME Awards 2018. Got nominated twice for Best Club MC Award at the Ghana DJ Awards 2017 & 2018 and also the Jack Daniels Nightlife Awards 2018.
