Celebrated radio host, MC and cultural tastemaker Princess AJ has been announced as one of the official Masters of Ceremony for AfroFuture 2025, set to take place on December 28–29, 2025 at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra.

Christened Princess Ahenkan Ankomah, AJ is known for her commanding stage presence and authentic connection with audiences. Princess AJ joins a league of global creatives and cultural icons to host one of Africa’s biggest end-of-year festivals. AfroFuture, formerly Afrochella, continues to serve as a powerful meeting point for music, art, fashion and diasporan culture, and AJ’s inclusion reflects the festival’s commitment to energy, excellence and representation.
Princess AJ’s journey across media and live entertainment makes her a natural fit for the AfroFuture stage. As a radio host on YFM, Ghana’s leading youth and urban radio station, she has built a strong reputation for amplifying African music, championing creative voices and engaging young audiences with wit, depth and cultural awareness.

Beyond radio, she is widely respected as a hype woman and live MC, trusted to command large crowds, seamlessly transition between performances and keep the energy electric. Her ability to balance professionalism with playfulness has seen her host major concerts, festivals and brand activations across the country.
Speaking on her selection, Princess AJ shared her excitement about being part of the AfroFuture experience.
“AfroFuture is more than a festival, it’s a celebration of who we are as Africans and creatives. To be trusted with guiding that energy on such a global stage is truly an honour. I can’t wait to connect with fans, celebrate our culture, and share the moment with incredible artists and icons from around the world,” she said.

At AfroFuture 2025, Princess AJ is expected to bring her signature warmth, humour and high-octane energy to the stage, creating memorable moments for festival goers, while sharing hosting duties with other global MCs and cultural figures. Her role will include engaging the crowd between performances, spotlighting artists and ensuring the festival experience remains immersive, fun and unforgettable.
