Ghanaian rapper and music muse, Kwesi Arthur gave patrons a classic performance on day 1 of the Afrochella 2022 festival.
He electrified the crowd with back-to-back hit songs with blazing vibes from his catalogue performing songs including “Grind Day”, “Turn of the Light”, “Drama”, “Animal”, and “Winning” among others.
Kwesi Arthur’s performance at the annual music festival did not only reintroduce fans to the young “Son of Jacob” from Tema but a presented a taste of his unique fashion sense.
He took to the stage in a classic vintage jersey and buggy jeans styled by Ghana’s creative and streetwear brand, “Free The Youth”.
Many fashion enthusiasts would be familiar with the brand but to ring a bell in your minds, the infamous t-shirt Ghanaian-UK artiste, Stormzy wore at the Global Citizen Festival, paying homage to the legendary Ghanaian Highlife musician was designed by “Free The Youth” (FTY).
Despite being on the receiving end of backlash from Ghanaians aftermath of the Global Citizen Festival incident, the Ghanaian youth brand seems to have taken cues from its flaws and taken a leap through its progress.
