Award-winning Ghanaian music duo of identical twin brothers, Micheal Boafo, known as B2 and Tony Boafo, known as Twist, together identified as DopeNation in showbiz have disclosed the difficulty in other artistes accessing their studio.
Speaking on the ‘Dryve of your Lyfe’ show with Kojo Manuel on Y 107.9 FM, the music duo disclosed that their music studio was not a commercial one open to all artistes and artistes who want to record in the studio needed special invites from them.
“Our studio is not a commercial studio, you cannot just walk into our studio for a song, we have to call you before you have access to our it” they said.
The ‘Confam’ hitmakers justified their act stating that the difficulty in getting to their studio was the reason they willingly gave out free five beats yearly to all artistes in the country.
“That is why every year we give the five free beats and choose one winner who we support to use the beat to release their own song” they said.
Speaking to the short break in the five beats challenge, Twist explained that they took the time to promote their debut album and the AFCON tournament.
“We didn’t do it this year because of the AFCON and right after we were still promoting our album but we are yet to release the beats to get the next five,” he said.
