The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pice Restaurant, Pius Kusi Agyemang has disclosed that it is quite easy for anyone to start a business but the most difficult part of it all is making it work.
Sharing his journey as an entrepreneur during the international youth day activation organised by YFM, he shared, “starting a business is not an issue but sustenance is.”
He shared that as an entrepreneur, you will be discouraged on numerous occasions, especially by those closest to you. “But you have to be focused and be self-confident all the time.”
He notes that self-encouragement is the biggest tool and companion of an entrepreneur.
The businessman however explained entrepreneurship is a venture for a selected people. “There are things we need to understand in life. Entrepreneurship is not for everyone. We should only do what we do best. If you’re good with entrepreneurship, pursue it and if you’re employed by someone, add value to yourself,” he shared in an interview with NYDJ on Y102.5FM’s Ryse N Shyne show.
Pius admitted there are some people who can have successful careers as both entrepreneurs and career individuals. “Depending on your strength, you can focus on both. But if you want to beat your competitor as an entrepreneur, you need to upgrade yourself,” he reiterated.
International Youth Day is celebrated annually on 12 August to bring youth issues to the attention of the international community and celebrate the potential of youth as partners in today’s global society.
The theme of International Youth Day 2021 is, “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health”, with the aim of highlighting that the success of such a global effort will not be achieved without the meaningful participation of young people.
