FC Samartex 1996, a prominent football club in Ghana, has shared their journey towards making history in the fiercely competitive Ghana Premier League.
In an exclusive interview with Y Sports on Y FM’s renowned “Dryve of Your Lyfe” show, hosted by Meshack Eugene Nketsiah Adjei, popularly known as “Mena Sportx,” Kofi Kyere Baidoo, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of FC Samartex 1996, shed light on the team’s current status and ambitious goals.
Despite a recent setback, Mr. Baidoo exuded optimism as FC Samartex 1996 gears up for their upcoming clash against Bofoakwa Tano. Notably, he celebrated the triumph of the club’s women’s team, hailing them as champions in the Western Region set to compete in the National Middle League in Sogakope this June.
Emphasizing the burgeoning success of women’s football in the region, Mr. Baidoo articulated the club’s vision to establish the Western Region as a football powerhouse, with FC Samartex at its forefront for both men’s and women’s football.
Highlighting the men’s team’s remarkable performance leading the league with 52 points, Mr. Baidoo attributed their success to a blend of hard work, resilience, discipline, strategic player development, retention, and realistic goal-setting.
In a bid to rally football enthusiasts, Kofi Kyere urged fans to join the “Samatex Count” initiative, designed to unify supporters and bolster the club’s sustained growth and prosperity. This initiative aims to foster a strong community of fans dedicated to propelling FC Samartex 1996 to greater heights.
