Riyal Muhideen, an 18-year-old digital content creator, has won the Best Social Media Content Creator Award at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
Muhideen, who is currently pursuing his university education, has built an online following of nearly 150,000 people on TikTok. His content, largely built around trending hashtags and viral audio clips, has centered on humour and relatability aimed at young audiences in Ghana and beyond.
“As a young creator, my goal is to make people happy and encouraged through my content while contributing something different and positive to Ghana’s social media landscape,” Muhideen said. “This recognition motivates me to continue creating and pushing boundaries.”

Muhideen said his approach to content creation goes beyond entertainment. He described his platform as a space to inspire and uplift audiences, and said he sees an opening for content that engages young people in Ghana in an authentic way.
He is balancing his content creation work with his academic studies. Muhideen said he hopes his recognition encourages other young people to pursue their interests, describing age as something that should not limit ambition.
Muhideen thanked his followers, supporters, friends, and family for their role in his growth as a creator, and said he plans to continue producing content for his audience going forward.
