A total number of 300,000 Ghanaian youth have been impacted by the Ghana Grows Programme.
In an interview on Y107.9FM’s ‘Rhyse n Shyne’ show with Brown Berry, Mrs. Comfort Ocran, Executive Director of the Springboard Road Show Foundation (SRFS), highlighted that, after a year, Ghana Grows, has seen over 300,000 young beneficiaries nationwide and educated the youth through the media, and in person sessions alongside mentoring and counseling programs.
Through the Ghana Grows Programme, many youth have received mentorship and guidance, “We have been able to capture testimonials from participants. Just 2 weeks ago, we launched our first book “Changing Narrative” with about 200 stories from the north, south, east, west, every single region, people are talking about how the program has impacted them,” she added.
Mrs. Ocran highlighted the program’s focus on educating young people about career opportunities in agriculture, agribusiness, and technical and vocational skills. “We co-created a program that we call the Ghana grows program. So the Ghana grows program is basically a program that seeks to engage young people and showcase the opportunities in this, extended value chain.”
Ghana Grows is more than just a career guidance program; it is a catalyst for change. By empowering young people with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed, the initiative is helping to address the challenges of youth unemployment and create a brighter future for Ghana. As the program continues to grow and evolve, it is poised to make an even greater impact on the lives of young Ghanaians.
