Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall artiste, Addi Self has shared more information about his newly released album ‘The journey-Zongo to BBC’.

Talking about the inspiration behind the album he asserted that the album is basically a summary of where and how he started and where he is now in his music career.

In an interview with Foster Romanus on e.TV Ghana’s Late Nite Celebrity Show, he stated, “I was part of Shatta’s reign album tour where I got the chance to perform at the O2 arena and that was a big inspiration to me.”

He added that they also went to BBC to do a couple of freestyles and interviews which got him more enthused to get the album done.

“I thought to myself, for a Zongo boy like me to get somewhere like the BBC then, I have to make history with this,” he explained.

Unlike most upcoming artistes who are most likely to start with an E.P, Addi self states that he decided to release his album before his E.P. “l wanted to be well groomed and ready for the industry and currently I am.”

In releasing his album he emphasized it was supposed to be released earlier but, due to a couple of challenges he faced, he had to wait to get everything right before coming out with it.

The reggae artiste mentioned that he has 15 songs on his album and the feedback has been positive so far.
