Former President of MUSIGA, Alhaji Sidiku Buari, has shared that the greatest gift a parent can provide for his children is quality education.

He posits that this treasure surpasses huge sum of properties passed on to children.

Relating his own experience, he told Rev. Erskine on the Y Leaderboard Series: “I am so happy that most of my children are successful. They listen to me and take my advice. The most important thing is to give them good education. If you give them that, you have given them everything. I will advise parents to give their children good education”.

The veteran musician also shared that his parents gifted him with good education even though they had not experienced what they gave him. “My mum was not educated my dad was partially educated but they made sure I went to school pursing even a higher form of education”, he added.

The children of Alhaji Sidiku Buari are celebrated personalities in Ghana. Some of his well-known children include Shaida Buari, who won Miss Ghana in 2002, UK-based businessman, Malik Buari, Ashraff Buari, a medical student in the USA, Sidiku Buari Jnr, an automotive consultant based in Ghana, and Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari, among others.

Alhaji Sidiku Buari is a former president of the Musician Union Association of Ghana (MUSIGA) where he served for eight (8) years before handing over the position to Bice Osei Kuffor popularly known as Obour. Due to his contribution towards the development of music in Africa and Ghana he was voted the former Vice President of the International Federation of Musicians (FIM).
