The celebration of Homowo takes a different turn this year as Ottobi Entertainment prepares to host the Spirit Festival, a three-day music, boxing, and comedy event running from 7th to 9th August at the Kalabash Event Complex, ACP Estate, Pokuase.
The festival kicks off on August 7th with a Vendor Fair, before moving into the Artiste Night on August 8th, which will feature performances from Fameye, Cina Soul, Ofori Amponsah, Adani Best, Lucky Mensah, NkyinNkyim Band, and Okonfour Kwadee. The festival closes on August 9th with a Symposium, a comedy night headlined by Jeffrey Nortey, and 7 sanctioned boxing bouts.
Festival producer George Wiredu Duah, popularly known as NanaYaw Wiredu, stated that attendees are guaranteed safety, noting that security will be high so that everyone is safe. He also mentioned that fans will have a lot of experiences, memories, and good energy, adding that there will be good vibes, good people, live music, DJ sets, and some good comedy, and that fans should be ready for a time to remember.
