The late former Vice President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur will be laid to rest today after a state funeral.
President Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to be present along with the nation’s former presidents and other statesmen.
A memorial service has also been scheduled for him at the Calvary Methodist Church, Adabraka in Accra on Sunday, July 29, 2018, from 7:30 am to 9:00 am.
The two-day state funeral ceremony which commenced on Thursday at the Accra International conference center has so far seen hundreds of Ghanaians throng the Conference Centre to pay their last respects to the former Vice President who was laid in state.
The Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo-Marfo on Thursday led a government delegation to pay their last respects to the late former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur.
Amissah-Arthur died on June 29, 2018, after he collapsed at the Airforce Gym in Accra during a workout session.
He is expected to be buried at the military cemetery in Accra.
