The funeral proceedings of Apostle Prof. Emeritus Ing. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka is ongoing at Gomoa Mpota in the Central Region, despite a 10-day interim injunction issued by an Accra High Court to halt the arrangements.
The court order, which temporarily restrains former Dome-Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo from organising the funeral, follows an ongoing legal dispute within the Safo family over who has the lawful authority to oversee the late Kristo Asafo Mission founder’s final rites.
Meanwhile, some family members, church members, friends and sympathisers have gathered at the funeral grounds, with security personnel deployed to maintain peace and order as developments unfold.
