Ghanaian gospel artiste Baako Junior returns with a powerful new single titled “The Lord Is Good” featuring Lisa-Pearl, a moving song that reflects on God’s unwavering goodness through every season of life.
Inspired by a deeply personal experience in 2020, Baako Junior shares that the song was birthed during a period of hardship and reflection. “I was going through a very challenging phase in my life and in that moment of despair, I spent some time in prayer and slept off,” he recalls. “When I woke up, I heard the words ‘The Lord Is Good.’ Though I had heard them many times before, they felt different, deeper. I realized that the most constant thing in our lives as believers is the goodness and mercies of God.”
“The Lord Is Good” serves as a reminder that no matter the circumstance, whether on the mountaintop or in the valley, God’s goodness never changes. Through its heartfelt lyrics and spirit filled melody, the song invites listeners to reflect on gratitude, faith, and God’s enduring love.
The uplifting single marks Baako Junior’s first release of the year, and it is the lead single from his forthcoming debut album titled Goodness and Mercies, which will be released at a later date.
Written by Baako Junior, the song was produced by Obiri Siaw, and mixed and mastered by Kwame Nkrumah (South Africa). With Lisa-Pearl’s soulful contribution, the record shines as both a testimony and an anthem of praise.
