Hasaacas Ladies, the Takoradi-based Women’s Premier League club, received a generous donation from Betika Ghana on Monday following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
The bookmaker, which has partnered with the club for three years, hosted the team at their offices to celebrate the season and acknowledge their performance. Hasaacas presented their silver medal from the recently completed league campaign to Betika’s Country Manager as part of the meeting.
In recognition of the team’s efforts, Betika presented a donation package to the club that included rice, canned goods, beverages, and other essentials.
Country Manager John Khawam praised the team’s achievements throughout the season, despite their loss in the league final. He reaffirmed Betika’s ongoing commitment to supporting the club.
“We have been monitoring your games very closely over the past three years and remain dedicated to backing your efforts,” Khawam stated. “This is just a small gesture of our support—we will be here whenever you need us.”
The presentation event drew club leadership including President Nana Banyin Eyison and Chief Executive Officer Evelyn Nsiah-Asare, along with members of the playing squad.
Club President Eyison expressed gratitude for the unexpected support, calling it encouragement as the team looks ahead. “Although we fell short in the league, this gesture renews our determination. We are grateful for your continued faith in us and hope to deliver greater success in the future,” he said.
Hasaacas will next compete for the Women’s FA Cup trophy after finishing as runners-up in the league for the second consecutive season.
