CEO, Bayport tips on how to unlock opportunities

Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on Whatsapp

Chief Executive Officer of Bayport Savings and Loans, Akwasi Aboagye, has shared some secrets with the youth on how they can unlock opportunities in their workspace.

“The one important thing that I believe in is a virtue called stewardship so wherever I find myself, I need to make sure that I leave it in a better state than I came to meet it. Whatever role I find myself in, I definitely would have to do an assessment on what the issues are, what we can do differently and how we can find solutions to these things”.

According to him, this is a virtue that everyone must take up because it helps to be able to thrive in every workspace and it is also a good step towards finding the next door of opportunity. He said this during an interview with Rev. Erskine, host of the Y-Leaderboard Series on Yfm, on another insightful episode of the show.

Mr. Akwasi Aboagye continued that finding solutions to issues in a workspace allows one the benefit of interacting and getting different views from people, which in the long run, also helps with personal development.

“I believe that once you put in the work, once you put in the effort, with the right attitude, keep pushing, keep driving, keep being a helpful person and keep being seen as someone who offers solutions, doors will open up for you”, he urged.

According to him, doors of opportunities are everywhere and can open for anyone at any time but then the bigger question is whether people are ready and prepared for that opportunity. He warned that it is easy to get distracted for instance by social media, and miss out on opportunities, hence one could be prepared for the opportunity but they may miss it because they were distracted.

“Always be ready and prepare yourself for the next opportunity that is available”, the CEO further counseled.
