CEO of HypeNet discusses the key pillars of brand success

Growing up, I had high expectations to meet - Hypenet boss talks drive for excellence

Chief Executive Officer at Hypenet Marketing Group, Rhoda Naa Yemoley Odoi, has highlighted some key pillars to look out for before starting a business.

Per her experience as a young entrepreneur, the first thing she realized had to be taken into consideration before any business started was for the entrepreneur to analyze and understand himself or herself.

In an exclusive interview with Rev. Erskine on Y107.9FM’s YLeaderboard Series, she said, “First of all, analyze yourself.” Make sure you understand your strengths and weaknesses, and don’t just enter into something that is not your strength because starting a business is very difficult.

Using her company as an example, she stated that from the beginning she wasn’t really making money but rather was only getting free tickets and VIP access to events, and those were the only rewards she was getting.

“To me, it wasn’t really about the money because it’s something I love. I didn’t get worried, and I didn’t start Hypenet because my friend was doing it, and that’s one thing I realized. “This is because sometimes I speak to certain entrepreneurs on social media about why they want to do a particular thing and realize they are doing it because their friends are doing it,” she emphasized.

Rhoda made it known that doing what someone else is doing is a mistake; rather, it is better to look within yourself and find your strengths and weaknesses and do what you’re good at.

“Don’t do something because that’s what someone else is doing.” Don’t follow the trend, because when you follow the trend, you won’t be able to survive in hard times. “The least thing will make you want to give up, so ask yourself what will motivate you to keep going even if you’re not making any profit,” she advised.
