At the fifth edition of the Fontomfrom Amandze Awards on Saturday 11th November 2023 at the Raybow Hotel in Takoradi, Chelsy Sey was honoured under the Women Empowerment Category.
Maxlyn Chelsy Sey popularly known as Chelsy Sey is an award-winning Ghanaian media personality currently with Global Media Alliance (YFM Takoradi). The Marketing Executive for Naa Sika, a Fintech platform to aid financial inclusions.
Her BossUp 100 foundation champions TVET activities to enable women and girls to be financially independent. Through this initiative, Chelsy Sey was honoured under the Women Empowerment for the Year.
Chelsy Sey expressed her gratitude for the recognition she said, “As an on-air personality I believe I stand the chance to use my voice to address certain societal and health issues to make our communities better. I aim to empower and uplift women and girls through skill development, women’s health advocacy and mentorship for them to gain financial freedom be their bosses and also take responsibility for their actions for a better society. This impact has been felt by many over the years and we would like to reach out to more including the physically challenged. I appreciate the organisers of the Fontonfrom Amadze Awards for this acknowledgement. This has indeed given me a bigger task to fulfill”.
The Fontomfrom Amandze Awards is an award scheme that seeks to reward all young and vibrant personalities who are working hard to make life better for their communities.
The event was attended by high-profile dignitaries, media personalities and many more. Patrons were also thrilled with some traditional performances from artistes. The awards scheme organized by Fontomfrom Empire held its maiden edition held in 2019.
The awards scheme is to appreciate the
efforts of individuals and organizations in the Western Region that are making a real impact in the various communities.
