Environmental advocate Togbe Ghana has launched WasteGoGhana
The app is designed to connect households, businesses, plastic pickers, tricycle waste collectors and waste management companies with recycling centres and collection services. Users can arrange waste pickups and help ensure recyclable materials are directed to appropriate recycling facilities.
According to Kumordzi, WasteGoGhana is part of an effort to use technology to improve waste management and encourage more people to participate in recycling.
> “Our goal is to make it easier for people to manage their waste while creating stronger connections between waste collectors and recycling centres,” Kumordzi said.
The initiative seeks to support waste collectors and recyclers while contributing to cleaner communities and a more sustainable Ghana.
