Counselor, Mrs Bernice Nortey, has urged married women to stop attacking their husband’s side chicks.
She mentioned that she heard only matured people get married hence, as a matured married woman “you can’t go out fighting your husband over another woman.”
She told Mercy Bee the Ekumfi Princess on e.tv Ghana’s Girl Vibes Show, “There are so many risks involved in doing that. The primary is you might end up losing your husband to this lady because the lady will now go every mile to have your husband or share him with you. Also, you risk your life, personality and integrity as a woman and have all the good things you’ve done dragged in the mud.”
She believes that it is inappropriate to fight with another woman over a man.
“That is why I tell women to always do something for themselves and be independent. Because if you have your own money, no matter how small it is, you won’t cry when your husband goes for a side chick because you know you can do without him. So, I’ll advise women not to fight with a side chick over their husband” she stated.
However, she said that if the side chick comes into their matrimonial home, “then you need to make her aware the house is your territory so she should know her boundaries and not cross it.
If you want to have an affair with my husband it can be outside my home but not inside,” she said.
Advising women on what to do when they catch their husband’s cheating, she stated that, they should not fight, but rather take their husbands home and confront them because it might be something they are doing wrong that is pushing them into the arms of the side chicks.
