DStv and Vodafone unveil Unlimited Data Bundles for World Cup live streaming

June 19, 2018
in News

MultiChoice has partnered Vodafone to offer unlimited data bundles for customers to stream live World Cup games on the go.
The global football showpiece, currently underway in Russia, will be watched live by millions of viewers around the world on television. Owing to the difference in time zones, some matches will be played whilst fans in Ghana are either at work or going about their usual schedules. In an age of increased mobility, a fast-growing way of consuming live television is streaming via Apps like DStv Now over the Internet.
The innovative bundle package will enable customers to watch great games during the tournament at home or in the office on their fixed broadband or their mobile phones.
MultiChoice Ghana General Manager, Cecil Sunkwa-Mills said:
“We continue to listen to our customers to understand their changing needs and what matters most to them. We understand that the Internet has become a necessity for doing business, interacting and catching up on global events. As our customers have been highly mobile, we are happy our partnership with Vodafone will prove to be an innovative data solution and will bring the best value to our customers”.
Commenting, Patricia Obo-Nai, Acting Sales and Marketing Director at Vodafone Ghana said:
“Football is an integral part of the Ghanaian psyche. Its power to bring people together is a unique trait we admire deeply at Vodafone. Our partnership with MultiChoice shows our ability to go above and beyond to ensure our customers have the flexibility to do the things they love most on the platform we provide. We are excited about this opportunity and we hope for more avenues to partner with MultiChoice in the future.”
Vodafone Mobile customers have the option of choosing either the GHS1 daily, GHS5 weekly or GHS20 a month bundle whilst Vodafone Fixed Broadband customers can also link a Vodafone mobile number to their account and subscribe for GHS20 a month to get unlimited access to watch all 64 matches at the World Cup plus other great content available via the DStv Now App.
To enjoy this offer, download the DStv Now App on either the Android or iOS playstore; sign up in the app with your DStv credentials and dial *900# on your Vodafone mobile phone to subscribe. With your data bundle activated, go to Live TV on the App, select sports and stream the matches live on your preferred SuperSport channel.
