The Swiss tennis star had total revenues of 106.3 million dollars (approx. 95 million euros) in 2020. Of this, 6.3 million dollars were prize money and 100 million dollars were income from endorsements. In the previous year, Federer was in fifth place with a earnings of 93.4 million dollars.
In second place comes soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus Turin with a pay of 105 million dollars (60 million dollars salary, 45 million dollars endorsements). Third is Lionel Messi from FC Barcelona with 104 million dollars (72 million dollars salary, 32 million dollars endorsements). In 2019, Messi was the highest earning athlete.
