Ghanaian comedian Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face in entertainment circles has been arrested by the Ghana Police.
In a Twitter post, the police explained that his arrest was conducted following some alleged threats to various individuals on his social media handles.
“Funny Face in Police Custody for Allegedly Threatening Some Individuals. The Police have today, Monday, 18th October, 2021, at 10:14 pm arrested Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, popularly known as Funny Face for allegedly threatening certain individuals via his Social Media platforms”. The post read.
The police service further stated in the post that they were going to submit Funny Face to a court for a psychiatric examination due to his history to determine their next line of action in the investigation process.
“Due to the history of the suspect, the police shall submit Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng to the court for an order for psychiatric examination, to determine the next line of investigative action”. It further read.
The Twitter post further ensured the safety of citizens and the commitment of the police service to serve Ghanaians.
Funny Face in recent times have been believed to be mentally ill due to his actions in public and his posts on his social media handles insulting his wife, friends and family members.
