Ghana’s men’s 4x100m relay team has booked their place at the 2027 World Athletics Championships in Beijing, finishing second in the repechage round at the World Athletics Relays in Botswana with a time of 38.09 seconds.
The quartet, Abdul-Rasheed Saminu, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Amoah, and Edwin Gadayi, delivered when it mattered most on Sunday, May 3, 2026, erasing the disappointment of a fourth-place finish in Heat 3 the previous day, where they clocked 38.19 seconds and missed automatic qualification.
In the repechage, the team showed sharper baton exchanges and sustained pace across all four legs to secure the qualification spot, their fourth appearance at the World Athletics Championships in the men’s 4x100m relay.
