Fast-rising singer and songwriter Jason Herman Bortei- Doku, better known as Herman Suede in entertainment circles has lamented over the inadequate support from the Ghanaian music industry to up-and-coming acts.
The ‘Be Mine’ hitmaker could not afford to be left out of a conversation that artistes, artistes managers and entertainment pundits have spoken about in the past.
Speaking on the ‘Dryve of your Lyfe’ show with Y 107.9 FM’s Kojo Manuel, he said; “I will say it has to be the lack of support. The Ghanaian music industry doesn’t support upcoming artistes. Sometimes I feel most of the up and coming artistes are judged based on their social status as compared to the music they produce and talent.”
Adding on, the talented Teenager mentioned that there were a-lot of factors that went into building a craft and not just the music produced by an artiste, and that people were to appreciate the efforts of budding talents.
“There are a lot of different things which are involved in pushing your career in a whole, so many components come together to form the craft and not only the music. People should be concerned about the growth of younger acts instead,” he added.
Herman is currently promoting his new song ‘Naa Kwarley’ and ‘Bittersweet’ Extended Playlist (EP) on a media tour. He entreated his fans and music enthusiasts to stream the songs all music platforms.
