Just a few weeks after releasing her first single of the year and the related music video, Gyakie has just released another track, “For My Baby.”
The Flip The Music artist has been working on her “My Diary EP” release and is teasing this fluid R&B fusion to get fans excited for the project ahead of the EP release on July 22nd.
Despite sharing the beloved theme of love that Gyakie frequently and so sweetly conveys in her music, “For My Baby” is very different from “Something.” On “For My Baby,” The Songbird slows down even more, giving listeners a sensual RnB Highlife blend. The Songbird’s music is frequently referred to be mellow.
The Soji production is melodic and its simplicity coupled with Gyakie’s vocals give the song an overall minimalistic and pleasant appeal: the perfect ode to your lover.
The “My Diary” EP is going to be Gyakie’s sophomore project, after her debut SEED EP. In the way the latter was symbolic as an introduction to who Gyakie is, it’s interesting to wonder what this next project will represent to the artist.
