Ernest Bredu Logah, winner of the YFM Hunters Pool Tournament at the London Pub and finalist of the national tournament has stated that, without doubt his is winning this year’s competition.

The competition was organized across five regions at selected pubs and clubs. Participants played among themselves at various stages of the preliminary competition at the pubs and clubs to determine the finalists.

Ernest Bredu speaking on the ‘Dryve of your Lyfe’ show with Kojo Manuel on Y 107.9 FM expressed his hopefulness and confidence in winning the trophy and cash prize. He added that he did not want history to repeat itself, hence he had trained and learnt about the game.

“I feel great and I am going to win the trophy. I am not expecting what happened in 2012 to happen again because I have trained and learned more about the game”.

Ernest further explained the toil and struggle for supremacy in playing Pool in Ghana, he described it as a game without recognition and remuneration. And he is elated that, YFM and Hunters have partnered to give the game the relevance it needs.

“If you are in Ghana playing this game is not easy, you have to hustle because there’s no recognition to it. It pays much more in the UK, you earn at least $1201.00 a game,” he said.

The finals of the YFM Hunters Pool Tournament is slated for January 7, 2022, at the Accra Sports Stadium at 11 am prompt. Prizes up for grabs include a trophy and Gh¢ 10,000.00 for the winner and other consolation prizes.
